In this episode, I talk about how I move through life - planning, executing, and not wasting energy on things I can't change.  I share how skills, mobility, and trusting yourself to move when something isn't working has always been my way.  I'm not stuck.  I'm not planted.  I'm here to live, and I move accordingly.

If this episode resonated with you and you're working through something in your own life, I offer 1:1 session - a space to talk things out and gain perspective.

This is unfiltered everyday shit. I'm India Sherelle, This podcast is a space for real conversations about life as is actually happening. The good, the bad, and everything in between. It's unfiltered, it's honest, and it's unapologetic. So let's talk about it. Welcome. This is unfiltered Everyday Shit. I'm India Sherelle. Let me tell you something. One thing I'm good at is planning and executing. People used to always ask me, oh. India, why you staying looking so young and da. My famous saying was, 'cause I don't pond over shit. I can't change. And I absolutely mean that. That is a technique, a strategy in my life. I learned in my early twenties. If you see me thinking about it, that's because I can change it. I do not spend energy on things I cannot change, which means I don't spend energy on people who aren't willing to change jobs or anything else. If something is irritant to me, I make things happen. I'm not gonna sit there and cry about it. You know the one important thing I always tell people, I'm not big on school, but I'm definitely big. 'cause school isn't for everybody. College isn't for everybody and that's okay. But when I am big on is you getting a trade, something that makes yourself marketable, that you can go anywhere. That is something I've always said. Make sure you get a skillset. That you pretty much can go anywhere and get a job. If you can get a job somewhere, you can make the change. To me, life is a journey and that's how I treat it. Don't get me wrong, I know you have to plan things out in your life and that's great, but I'm also a person who is very spontaneous. If I go somewhere and it ain't working out for me, no problem. I'll give it a year two, then I'm on to the next. I just go ahead and make plans. I start looking. The first thing I'll do is job. Where can I get a job if I need to travel to that destination? To do an interview in person to let the person know that I'm serious about moving there. That is exactly what I'll do. If that mean you wanna move from West Coast to East coast or East coast to West Coast, you book their flight. You go to that interview, let that person know you serious about relocating. It is, it's really in my mind, in my life how I operate. It is just that fucking simple. I've been like that all my life. What one thing my friends would say is if India, thank it, call her. 'cause she may be in 10 buck two, somewhere about the time you talk to her and I, listen, I have to remain that way. I'm not no tree. I'm not playing it nowhere. Life is about living. I'm going to fucking do that. I'm going to fucking live and I ain't gonna let nothing, and absolutely nothing but death itself. Stop me. That's just how I operate. People make a thousand excuses as to why they can't do something. There's really no excuse. If you can get a job somewhere, you can execute that plan. I am telling you. So I'll leave you with this. Just something to reflect on. Where in your life are you still waiting for permission instead of trusting yourself to move. So remember, this podcast is just freedom. This is me. It's an outlet, it's a voice. It's somewhere I can just speak freely. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for listening.
